Barbados Ham Radio Club

Keeping Amateur Radio Alive and Fun

                          Caribbean Emergency Echolink/Irlp Net ( CEEN )

Our Caribbean Echolink Emergency Net  (CEEN)  starts at 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Tuesday nights. Amateur Radio

Operators check in from all over the world too, many from the UK, USA and Canada check in at times. The islands of Antigua, Anguilla, Barbados, Dominica, St. Maarten,  St. Martin and Montserrat are connected via a Canadian reflector. The man who is responsible for helping the Caribbean from the 1970ies with Radio Links and later on with EchoLink is Klaus VE3KR. Without Klaus, this link would hardly be possible. I was building EchoLink Nodes while I was back home in Canada and it was simple there, but the Caribbean having such strict ISP services, its a huge challenge among other aspects. It took me a few days to get the ISP sorted out. Many thanks to Klaus for all of his                                                             time and resources making this possible. Details of all the work Klaus did in the Caribbean can be found here.

All of the Net Controllers, their schedule, Logs and availability will be highlighted in the CEEN Forums Here.

These are the current VHF and UHF Communication Links for the Caribbean Islands.
